16:00 – 17:00  Visit to Szentendre Artisan’s Village Szentendre photos

Szentendre, 'The Pearl of the Danube Bend', is a quaint old market town situated on the slopes of the Pilis range, with a charm and character of its own. Meandering cobbled lanes, little squares, red-tiled roofs, brightly painted houses, and awkwardly positioned Orthodox churches give it an artistically picturesque setting. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the town by bus. Owing to its excellent geographical endowments, the town of Szentendre has been populated since the new stone age. In the 1900s the town became a favourite retreat for painters and sculptors and ever since it has been known for its art and artists, resulting in a wealth of museums and art collections scattered among the tourist souvenir and handicraft shops. It is home to the Hungarian open Air Museum exhibiting the folklore architecture and culture of the Carpathean basin.

With its interior, costumes and its tasteful dishes and drinks served in earthenware, Renaissance Restaurant takes our guests arriving to Visegrád to a medieval journey unique in Hungary.
