
ERRA Training Course: The course will feature 4 days dedicated to core responsibilities of energy regulatory authorities / commissions (ERC) with regard to a) monitoring the behaviour of individual licensees as well as the overall outcome of the behaviour of a group of companies and b) to their role in enforcing rules and regulations in cases of detected non-compliance.
Course Objective:
This course aims to provide a thorough introduction to the monitoring activities of the energy regulatory commissions. The purpose of this course is to equip the students with skills on how to organize the monitoring procedure in order to set fair & reasonable prices; how to monitor service quality & environmental performance; how the electricity markets function & other important issues related to market monitoring. The faculty team will use a special methodology, including a combination of classroom lectures, case studies and discussions to ensure optimal examination of theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Course Faculty Team: The professional content of the trainings are usually facilitated by the Regional Center for Energy Policy Research (REKK) led by Dr. Peter Kaderjak, Leading Energy Expert, Professor of the Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary. Lectures are given by the employees of REKK, actual and former experienced regulators from the ERRA Member countries, Western Europe and Professors form the Western European Universities.
