Getting there

From the Airport:
Budapest (Ferihegy) International Airport is ten miles south-east of the city centre. It has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 which is divided into two, with Terminal 2A the departure and arrival point for flights of the Schengen zone and Terminal 2B hosting all non-Schengen flights.

Airport’s central telephone number for information is (+36 1) 296-9696/(+36 1) 296 7000

Luggage services can be contacted on (+36 1) 296-5966/5965 or LL{.}celebi.hu

Seats on Malév Hungarian Airlines flights can be booked at http://www.malev.hu.

Airport Transfers
The Budapest Airport Minibus provides the cheapest door-to-door taxi service from/ to the Airport, and since it carries from 8 to 11 passengers you have to reckon with a longer transfer time than a taxi. (Normal transfer time to/from the airport to the downtown is approximately 60 minutes).

Journey from the Airport
In the Arrival Hall of both Terminals you find an AIRPORT MINIBUS welcome desk where you can buy the ticket. Airport Minibus counters are open daily from 05.00 until 01.00 at the Terminals. The departure of minibuses from the airport depends on the number of passengers, who are transported by their destinations.

Journey to the Airport
The minibus will arrive at the previously requested address on time to take passengers to the airport via the shortest way. Buses have be ordered in advance by phone, but not later than 12 hours before the departure time of your flight. To Order the AIRPORT MINIBUS call: (+36 1) 296 8555 (Calls by phone will be served every day between 06.00-22.00) or visit: http://www.airportshuttle.hu.
