The 9^th Energy Investment & Regulation Conference brought together leaders in the field of energy for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding area for investment and regulation.

The event is the premier international symposium of energy regulators, government representatives, investors, consultants, bank representatives, advisors, all related to the energy sector. in the ERRA region.

This year, the Conference had to be organized under the very extraordinary conditions of air travel limitations caused by volcano eruption. Despite this unfortunate situation the ERRA Conference was held and turned out to be successful as in the previous years.

The conference covered relevant and daily topics to the pursuit of sound energy regulation and investment opportunities, focusing on topics such as:

• Investment opportunities in the energy sector in the new financial environment
• Regulatory aspects of sustainable development of the energy industry
• Regulatory issues of importance to energy traders
• Natural gas – regulatory aspects

This year's keynote speakers were the Honorable Péter Hónig, Minister, Ministry of Transport, Telecommunication and Energy, Hungary; and the Honorable Philip D Moeller, Commissioner, Federal Regulatory Commission, USA.
