TRANSFERS

AIRPORT MINIBUS
The Budapest Airport Minibus operation is similar to that of a taxi service i.e. door-to-door, with the difference that on the way to the airport the 8-11-seater minibuses pick up passengers living in one part of the city while shuttles from the airport to the city also take passengers living in roughly the same area. For this reason it is necessary to reckon on a longer transfer time than a taxi. The Minibus charge is HUF 2490/person one way within Budapest. Bookings should be made at least 24 hours beforehand on (+36 1) 296-8555.
The transfer time to/from the aiport to the downtown is approximately 60 minutes (subject to traffic).

Journey from the Airport
In the Arrival Hall of both Terminals you find AIRPORT MINIBUS welcome desk where you can buy the ticket. Airport Minibus counters are open daily from 05.00 until 01.00 at the Terminals. The departure of minibuses from the airport depends on the number of passengers, who are transported by their destinations.

Journey to the Airport
The minibus will arrive at the previously requested address on time to take passengers to the airport via the shortest way. Buses can be ordered in advance by phone, but not later than 12 hours before the departure time of your flight. To Order the AIRPORT MINIBUS call:  +36 1 296 8555 (Calls by phone will be served every day between 06.00-22.00)

Tariffs (within Budapest):
Oneway ticket: HUF 2490
Roundtrip ticket: HUF 4390

For more information, please visit the Aiport Minibus site.

Taxi
If you wish to take taxi, then you need to call & order a taxi by phone because parking in front of the airport is prohibited. Rates depend on the taxi companies and some work with fixed tariff rates in case of transfers to/from the airport.  The operator will tell the price and car type/color as well as time of waiting.

Rates (for reference purposes only): around HUF 4500 for one way
