Gala Welcome Reception (May 16, Evening) - Sponsored by ELMU Rt.

ELMŰ Rt.   - The Budapesti Elektromos Művek Részvénytársaság Company (Budapest Electricity Co.) is Hungary’s leading supplier of electricity.  With the advancing liberalisation of  the electric energy market, our commitment to consumers is increasingly expressing itself in the priority we assign to our business operations.  Domestic demand for electric energy and the expectations of clients continues to grow, and ELMŰ is accordingly tackling  the requirements of our partners in an individually tailored way.
Our goal on the competitive market is to distinguish ourselves from the competitors by high quality service, to capitalize on our opportunities by turning them to our advantage, and in this way to win new customers.

National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is a non-profit quasi-governmental organization founded in 1889. Within its membership are the governmental agencies that are engaged in the regulation of utilities and carriers in the fifty States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Specifically, NARUC’s member agencies regulate the activities of telecommunications, energy, gas, and water utilities. NARUC also has associate members from over 20 other countries.
Several years ago NARUC expanded its outlook beyond the US and now assists in the promotion of a better understanding of the many new and complex regulatory issues that public utility regulators must address in rapidly changing societies.  NARUC believes that its members’ expertise can help promote the institution of independent regulatory agencies and bring opportunities for more enhanced democratic methods of regulation.
