General Session - Regulatory Information Exchange (Pest Room)



"Country Updates & Issues"
Background: The purpose of this session is to exchange information on the
current status of energy regulation in each of the participating countries. Each Regulator will provide a short update in the form of 3 PowerPoint slides on (1) Key Events and Activities in 2002 through March 2003; (2) Key Anticipated Issues and Activities for the Next Year; (3) Status of Introduction of Competition and Related Issues (ex. market power). Topics could include status updates on: changes in commission autonomy or authority, privatization, competition, tariff reform, pricing policies, regional trade, legislative changes, etc. Each representative will provide a short presentation (5 minutes), with 5 minutes of questions & answers following each presentation.
