Commemorating the decade of cooperation among member organisations, the Energy Regulators Regional Association organised a series of jubilee events::

• An anniversary publication was prepared called „Celebrating 10 years: Assessing a Decade of Regulatory Cooperation”. The purpose of the publication is to record the accomplishments of ERRA during the past 10 years;

• A regulatory competition was organized among members of the Association. The winner was announced during the Gala Dinner. The winning team of the Turkish Energy  Market Regulatory Authority now wears the outstanding title: ERRA Regulator of the Year 2011. More information:>>>>>

These 15 founding members signed the Constitution of the Association with the following purposes:

• improve national energy regulation in member countries 
•  foster development of stable Energy Regulators with autonomy and authority
•  improve cooperation among Energy Regulators.

    The Association was then formally registered in Hungary in April 2001.

 ERRA is proud to announce...

The establishment 10 years ago of the Energy Regulators Regional Association is a cause for celebration. The growth in membership ( 24 full members, 4 associate members, 5 affiliate members) and current geographic reach highlights the continued fulfilment and appeal of its mission: improve regulation, cooperation, authority and autonomy of energy regulators. It is the purpose of the 10-year anniversary to reflect on ERRA's achievements in educational opportunities, technical exchanges and investments in member countries. The unique international role ERRA fulfils enables each country's energy regulator to work effectively in the public interest. They do this by using their local expertise while applying international standards fostered by ERRA. Responding to members' needs and newly emerging regulatory issues will remain central to ERRA's mission.

The period between December 2010 and May 2011 is dedicated to anniversary celebrations of ERRA. The peak anniversary event is the 10th ERRA Energy Investment and Regulation Conference organised on May 15-16, 2011 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
